Starting Junior High can be tough, but making some new friends at the very beginning can make a BIG DIFFERENCE! This retreat is for 7th graders to bond with each other & some of their High School leaders before we kickoff a great year of Confirmation together. We’ll enjoying getting to know each other with fun games, capture the flag in the forest, and some fun at Woods Canyon Lake. Kayaks, bicycle boats, fishing boats & paddle board rentals are included! For this event, a member of our church hosts us at their cabin in Forest Lakes, Arizona, about 30 minutes east of Payson.  The upstairs portion of this cabin will be for girls, the downstairs will be for guys, and anyone who wants to can sleep outside in tents or hammocks (we’ll have tents available). Friday’s dinner and Saturday’s breakfast, lunch & snacks throughout will be provided and we plan to have them home by 7pm to have dinner with their family. We look forward to some great bonding!

Do Not Bring:

No cell phones, ipods, ipads, or electronic gaming devices. Our trip is SOOooooo much better without them. Real face time is truly amazing. Phones are not allowed to be out on the drive up, at the cabin, etc. Phones can only be used to contact rides on the way home Saturday night to share estimated arrival times. We will also be sending out Saturday’s estimated time of arrival in our text alert to parents who signed up to receive our text alerts. Be sure to reply “YES” when you receive a text asking if you’d like to receive texts from LACASAYOUTH.

Also no knives, alcohol, vape pens, drugs, lighters, or anything you have to think twice about.

We are looking for parents drivers interested in chaperoning with us and helping drive kids to the lake and back home. If you are interested in being involved as a Confirmation Tuesday or Wednesday night small group leader, this would be a great opportunity to get to know some of the kids! Please email us at and let us know if you can help!
